She was recruited to Arizona as a pitcher and 1st baseman, and played outfield in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.  Leah also played first base for the 2004 Olympics. She is also a left handed hitter who hits, slaps and drag bunts and teaches how to be an offensive threat.  This versatility allows Leah to relate to athletes with all different strengths and skill sets.  Leah will teach softball players the fundamental skills while empowering them to be their best off the field.  Passion exudes from Leah each time she is able to encourage this next generation in the sport that took her around the world.

Leah speaks about her Olympic experience to many different groups. She gets you motivated to be the best you can be in everything you do. Leah has been successful individually and in the team setting and truly believes that a positive mindset plays a big role in her success. Leah also believes that success comes from having balance in your life. She took that to another level as the only mom on the 2004 Olympic team, paving the way for future Olympic team members to be great athletics, wives and mothers. Leah, married to her husband Tommy for 18 years, is the mother of three beautiful boys: Jake, Drew and Luke.

Leah also speaks to Christian schools, organizations and churches. Her faith in Jesus Christ comes first in her life. She shares about how Jesus can be a part of everything you do and how Jesus is a part of her softball career. God has given Leah a platform as an Olympic Gold Medalist and she loves to use it as an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others.

“Great Clinic!…has provided motivation, skills, and revived interest in girls ages 18 and below in the great
game of fastpitch softball. Over 400 girls have attended during the past 3 years. A must if you want the best!”

“Our travel organization had Leah come to Delaware for a local clinic in 2002 with the idea that she would be the perfect role model with a great personality. Leah’s knowledge of the game and her delivery made such a huge impact, we knew we had to get her back. In 2004, Leah came back to Delaware and was better than the first time. She really helped our people gain the knowledge to develop their skills and left a trail of motivated girls. Leah has a presence about her that just helps you grasp what she is saying. I truly believe Leah is the perfect person for us to bring in to help train and motivate our girls. We can hardly wait for her return!”
